My approach to psychotherapy is based in collaboration with clients. My goal is to assist you in identifying the underlying causes of your current, or long term, distress and/or to manage current symptoms. I firmly believe that each of us possesses an inherent potential for healing & growth. My clients are individuals who seek connection, unconditional positive regard, empathy – & an appropriate dose of humor! – in their therapist. I specialize in eating disorders, substance use disorders, and mental health disorders including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, mood disorders & PTSD.
I have worked extensively at all levels of care at nationally-recognized facilities specializing in eating disorders and substance use disorders. I aim to empower clients, both adults and teens, to discover their own solutions and to develop healthy coping mechanisms using techniques such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, and positive psychology.
Taking the first steps in this journey can be very difficult; I am so glad you’re here! I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you & to walk alongside you in your path to healing.
