Joani (she/her) is a marriage and family therapist candidate. She earned her master’s degree from Regis University in Colorado. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I view the world and problems as an interrelated experience that have far reaching effects from the presenting problem itself. I enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals. I utilize a systemic lens to attend to your concerns within my work.
When working with me as your therapist, you can expect that you will connect more to your own experience and form solidified positions throughout your life. Entering the therapeutic relationship is a powerful experience where we will work as a team to address your entire mental health, including your thoughts, behaviors, and emotional processing. My directive approach allows therapy to feel tangible, as I provide therapeutic structure to navigate your concerns and relationships inside and outside of the session. Throughout the use of Strategic Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy, I can help you learn new skills on day one, so that you may feel empowered to take back control of your life and begin to enjoy the relationships that fill it.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, heading to the beach with my dog, reading, writing, cooking, traveling, painting, and photography.
